A Game Tester’s main role is to methodically evaluate and test video games to ensure that the best final version is launched. Included in this role is playing the game to completion numerous times so that bugs and glitches can be identified and resolved. Any unresolved issues or malfunctions within the games would not only damage the name of the production company responsible for publishing it, but also make the game unplayable. Once the Game Tester has identified an issue, they have to clearly and accurately report the problem and describe in detail how the bug can be found and sometimes are required to offer suggestions for improvement. Game Testers should be highly skilled and versatile at playing different types and genres of games.
